Method using proportions

"Ever noticed that sims are huge compared to their horses? It always bothered me personally that when I would see pictures of sims next to horses, they would always be taller than their equines, even when the four legged counterparts were said to be quite tall (taller than most average females in RL). Everything in Sims is a little out of proportion in fact, so one day I measured a sim with the OMSP and they came at about 180cm. The average female height in the world is way below that: 165cm (5'5). That's a whole 15cm difference or if you prefer inches, about 6 inches." - Josie

So, I have checked what's the height of door in the game - measured with OMSP it's 223 cm.

From what I was able to find out, in the USA and Europe the standard height of interior door is 1981 mm to 1985 mm, with newer door being even as high as 2040 mm - for simplicity's sake I'm making it 200 cm.

Quick calculation using proportion method shows that 1 cm (in real life) should equal 1.115 cm in the game - again, for simplicity's sake I'm taking 1.1 cm for my calculations.

Below, I present to you results of my calculations based on everything I've stated above - I used Josie's tables and edited the last column in each of them. If I got somewhere .1 to .4 in results, I've rounded that downwards. .5 to .9 have been rounded upwards.

General rule is simple - take the height you need in cm and them multiply it by 1.1, round up or down to get rid of anything below 1.0 cm, and voila! :D

Personally, I think that proportion method gives more realistic results, cause 15 cm difference for a Shire is not the same as 15 cm difference for a Shetland Pony, or a dog ;)

I will use this method for all my horses, including horses that will go to other people ;)
